Day 1: Departure from North America Gateway

Welcome to Mérida Yucatán! Upon arrival into Mérida, you are met and assisted by our airport representative. Enjoy a wonderful introduction to Merida by taking a City Tour. Overnight in Mérida.

Day 2: Dzibilchaltún-Mérida

Morning visit to the recently consolidated site of Dzibilchaltun and its interesting museum. Lunch in a beautiful 17th century Hacienda and free afternoon.Overnight Mérida.

Day 3 : Merida - Celestún - Uxmal

Depart for Celestun to board small boats and travel up the stuary to view the pink flamingo colony and many other aquatic birds (270 species). Enjoy a seaside lunch before the afternoon drive to Uxmal. Overnight Uxmal.

Day 4: Uxmal - Kabah - Chicanna

Morning visit to the archaeological site of Uxmal.  After lunch, visit the site of Kabah and continue to Chicanna.  Overnight Chicanna.

Day 5: Chicanna - Calakmul - Chicanna

The ruins of Calakmul once one of the foremost Mayan metropolis, are impressive and there will be ample time to explore them.   In the afternoon there will be a visit to Chicanna. There will also be many opportunities for birders and natural history buffs to observe the enormous variety of Ave-fauna.  Overnight in Chicanná.

Day 6: Chicanna - Escarcega - Champoton - Campeche

After breakfast, drive west to Escarcega, then north along the Gulf of Mexico to the small fishing town of Champoton for seaside lunch. Visit the archaeological site of Edzná en route to the City of Campeche. In Campeche you can appreciate the remains of the sea wall fortress, which still stands. Overnight in Campeche.

Day 7: Campeche - Mérida Yucatan

Early departure to Mérida airport departure flight or extra night in Mérida.
